Egg Drop Lab Project

A.) Brittany Rosario, 3rd period and 9-20-13 (we started lab on 9-13-13)

B.) In order for me to do my egg drop project i had got all my materials and all i needed was tape, scissors, bubble wrap, and a foam box, with an egg of course. My hypothesis is that my egg will not break because my structure is weak. The less heavier it is the better it will work.

C.) Data: This all my structure and mass for this egg drop project. I decided to change my project because in the beginning i was going to use a box but it kept being to heavy. So i found a big foam box in my house and i cut it in half so it could be small. Then i made a whole for the egg to fit perfectly fine in it and i bubble wrapped it all around. I doubled it so that it wont break and i used lots of tape.
.  .
1.) My structure is 18.56grams without egg.

2.) 2000/18.56 x 10 = 1077

3.) 1077 points , A grade

4.) My structure with the egg is 94.12.

D.) Results:
Test #1 - We dropped it from the table around like 3 ft.  Did the egg break? No my egg didn't break it bounced instead.
Test #2 - We stand up on the chair and it had to touch the ceiling then we dropped it.  Did the egg break?  No it did not break and i didn't change my structure it stood the same.
Final Test (thrown in the air by Ms. Janik) - Did the egg break? No it did not break once again. But i did added more tape and bubble wrap around it.

E.) Post Lab Questions:
1.) I used a foam box, bubble wrap tape, and scissors. It was a simple project it was hard in the begging but i got use to it. I did change my project in the very beginning but i only changed it one time cause i didn't know what to do.

2.) I guess my design was easy cause i used the first things that camp to mind so it wouldn't be heavy. But my hypotheses is that it is not going to break.

3.) The purpose of having multiple test drop projects is so that you can make sure your project was really ready to go. also to see which one was better than another.

4.) My structure did not break because it was so light, plus i didn't use lots of thing to make it heavy, i used the first that came to mind. So no it didn't break.

5.) I wouldn't had change my design in any way because it came out exactly how i wanted and i actually felted relieve that it was done cause it had got me so stressed out. I put lots of hard work into it something i have not done in a while. This project took more effort than i ever did in my entire life when it comes to projects. I wouldn't change it because i learned that to get what you want and how exactly you want it you have to deserve it because it just don't come to you by hand. this Egg Drop Project i took my time on it even if it got me to points i didn't want to take but i wouldn't change it because it came out better than i thought it was.
Me with my project at the end. But it looks like aluminum foil.
